Tax Advisor and Cost Segregation Reviews
A practical way to research firms, verify reviews and compare the actual work in an engagement.
How to use this review guide
AE Tax Advisors publishes this page and competes with some of the firms discussed. This is our editorial research guide, not a collection of independent customer reviews or a claim that we audited every review platform. We do not assign star ratings to competitors. Check recent reviews at their original source, read both positive and critical accounts, and ask for references from clients with similar facts. A review can tell you about communication and follow-through, but it rarely proves that a deduction was allowable or that a tax return was filed correctly.
For any firm, record the date and platform of each review, which professional handled the work, the service purchased and whether the reviewer describes a completed deliverable. Verify identity and licensing through the relevant state accountancy board when credentials matter. Compare the signed scope and responsible professional before committing.

Cost segregation providers people compare
A provider review should distinguish the study from tax-return implementation. Request the actual engineering or analysis scope, asset schedule, cost basis reconciliation, site inspection method, audit support and a clear statement of who files a Form 3115 if required. A promised deduction and a usable current-year loss are different claims.
For reviews of a study provider, ask whether the reviewer is a property owner or a referring professional and what happened after the report arrived. Check how a prior-year study was implemented, whether the preparer agreed with the asset classifications, and how questions during an examination would be handled. The provider guide links to primary service pages for direct verification.
Questions to ask before relying on any review
- Does the review name a service and a completed outcome, or just describe a sales call?
- Is it recent enough to reflect the firm's current team and service model?
- Were the promised plan, report and return all delivered, and by whom?
- Does the reviewer share enough context to match your business, property type and tax year?
- Does the firm publish its assigned professionals, scope, fees and support terms?
AE Tax's own reviews page, team biographies, pricing, case studies and editorial standards are available for the same scrutiny. A discovery call is the place to confirm who does your work and what your engagement includes.
