Cronin & Company Pricing: Tax Planning Fees and Quote Checklist
Evaluate Cronin & Company pricing with a written quote checklist and compare AE advisory fees and separately priced services.
How much does Cronin & Company cost?
We have not verified a numeric tax planning fee in the official Cronin materials reviewed. Ask the firm for a current written proposal. A free lookback or consultation is not evidence that amendments, implementation, returns or ongoing accounting are free. Do not substitute an estimate from another similarly named CPA firm.
Cronin & Company, LLC describes a Birmingham, Alabama practice serving small to mid-sized business owners, including real estate investors, contractors and growing companies. Its official materials describe proactive tax planning, tax preparation and compliance, and IRS problem resolution. The firm also describes using AI tools in tax planning. These public descriptions establish advertised services, not the exact terms of your engagement.
Build an apples-to-apples quote
- List each entity, owner return, state and prior year.
- Identify whether the deliverable is a verbal consultation, written findings or a full implementation plan.
- Separate advisory, amendments, annual preparation, bookkeeping and depreciation studies.
- Confirm whether execution is performed by the firm or handed to your existing preparer.
- Ask about deposits, payment dates, cancellation terms and recurring obligations.
- Request the price for additional entities and out-of-scope work before signing.
For example, an owner with two businesses and a rental should request one proposal covering the same entities and years from each provider. A planning-only quote cannot fairly be compared with a quote that also includes multiple returns.
AE advisory pricing and the full project cost
AE publishes a standard $7,800 advisory engagement, payable in two $3,900 installments 30 days apart. Returns, amendments, cost segregation and additional services are separately scoped and priced. There is no required recurring annual planning fee for the standard engagement; that does not promise unlimited future work. Confirm the current proposal and signed scope.
Evaluate after-fee benefits using your actual facts. Separate refunds from future annual savings and from deductions that merely shift tax between years. Include professional fees and implementation costs when assessing a recommendation.
